One time my family and cousins gathered together to make four hundred eggrolls for my sister’s wedding. It doesn’t take much effort once you get the wrapping down! This traditional Hmong soup can be found cooked in various hmong gatherings such as weddings, parties, funerals, etc. It really is a heart warming soup so feel free to also mix in some steamed white rice into your soup as well.

It’s s aromatic, so delightful and rich in flavors it will surely put you in the good mood. *Make sure to make the 3 cups of rice and then turn off the plug to let the rice cool down at least a hour before starting this recipe.

One time when my mom prepared this dish for a big group of Hmong friends and relatives, they all raved how it reminded them of when they used to eat pho all the time at the street markets back in Laos. This is my favorite Pho noodle soup. the peanut butter addition to a pho bowl is what makes this pho noodle soup especially tasty and unique.

Lao Crispy Fried Rice (Nam Kao) is crunchy, sweet, salty and sour. Traditionally, you wrap this fried rice in lettuce, vietnamese coriander, cilantro and mint transforming it to a salad dish, but I prefer just eating the fried rice by itself. I actually learned how to make this from my sister who learned it from her mother in law who is Lao. Hmong people would enjoy this dish because of the sour pork sausage. Try it because you won’t regret making this dish
