About The Author

My name is Kathy (Vue) Xiong, and I am a teacher. I come from a big family. I was born and raised in California and currently I now live in Pennsylvania with my husband. I am a big foodie and I enjoy cooking.
I learned to cook with the guidance of my mother and also my older sister. Many of these recipes on my website are credited to my mother’s teachings, with my own adaptations of course.  On this website I want to share with you how to cook from the heart. I also want to create a space where we can talk about Hmong food, and the fond memories surrounding great food. I will carry you through traditional Hmong cuisine and share Southeast Asian Cuisine that you will typically find on a Hmong Family’s dinner table. I hope you will enjoy learning the recipes.
