My dad and I love eating birds the most in my family! Quails specifically are very healthy as this bird contains a lot more nutrients and less fat than say a chicken does. Here is a quick and easy recipe my dad and I often make. 🙂 Enjoy!

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 quail
  • 1 tsp. of salt
  • 1 lemongrass stalk
  • 4 kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 red small pepper, minced
  • Water
  1. Rinse and cut your quails into smaller chunks. Put into a small pot and add just enough water to completely cover the birds.  Add the lemongrass stalk and lime leaves, salt and minced red pepper. Cook on medium high heat for about 10 minutes. Add more salt if desire. Serve hot.
  2. Optional: Traditionally served with rice. Mix in some steamed white rice in each individual soup bowls.
